Power, Voltage, and the Size That Matters
Our heater lamps usually run at 2500W, and you can power them with either 230V or 400V. The 400V option is the heavy-duty choice for commercial setups—it keeps the current lower, so you don’t lose voltage over longer runs. The tube itself is around 300mm long. That compact size packs a lot of heat into a small space, which is great for the footprint. But it also means the reflector has to be seriously tough, and the mounting has to be solid, because the heat is real.
The Details: Halogen, Coating, and the Easy Swap
At the heart is a quartz tube filled with halogen gas. That chemistry helps keep the filament stable, so the output stays steady and the lamp lasts longer than a standard incandescent. We add a reflective coating on the back of the tube to push infrared energy forward—so more of what you pay for becomes usable heat. And for maintenance, the connector is typically an R7s base. It’s built to handle high temperatures, and it makes the lamp a simple drop-in replacement when it’s time.
Why This Matters When You’re Running an Outdoor Space
In a commercial patio heater, this setup gives you fast radiant heat without taking up a lot of room. The lamp fires up quickly and keeps delivering steady output, even when the wind kicks up. Now, the trade-off is heat density—the lamp runs hot. So the heater chassis needs strong ventilation and proper installation.
