No more headaches with your Sacmi SBF 24 lamps
Let’s be honest: nobody likes it when a lamp burns out right in the middle of a run. The last thing you want is to spend hours hacking away at your machine or waiting on a “special” part just to get things moving again. That’s why we built our infrared lamps to be simple drop-in replacements. They fit the Sacmi SBF 24 and most other PET blowing setups without any fuss. You just swap them out and get back to work. The heat stuff To get those PET preforms soft in a matter of seconds, you need a lot of punch in a small space. We focus on high-wattage density to make sure the heat is consistent across the whole tube. But a word of caution: when you’re pushing 2500W+ through a tiny quartz tube, things get incredibly hot. Make sure your oven’s airflow and cooling fans are actually doing their job. If they aren’t, your reflectors will warp, and then you’ve got a much bigger problem on your hands. Better glass, better connections We use high-purity quartz and a halogen cycle. In plain English? It keeps the filament from evaporating too fast. That stops the tube from turning black and losing its punch, so the lamp actually lasts. We also don’t mess around with the connectors. We use standard R7s or Sk15. Why? Because they fit tight. If a lamp is loose in the socket, it arcs. And if it arcs, it’ll fry your socket in a few days. Not a great way to spend a Tuesday. Getting them on your line Since we keep the dimensions and electrical loads standard, these work with about 95% of the blow molding gear out there. You won’t have to rewire your control cabinet or call in an electrician just to switch brands. Plus, we keep these in stock. You shouldn’t have to let a production line sit idle for weeks while you wait for a proprietary part. Just grab a lamp, wire it up, tweak your heating zones based on the preform temp, and you’re golden.
