Usually, it’s just a mix of thermal shock and the constant vibration of the machine shaking the life out of the glass. We got tired of seeing that happen, so we built a better version. Getting the heat right Here is the thing about heat flux: you need it to be exact to soften those preforms quickly. We match the original wattage and voltage perfectly so your heating profile stays steady. A word of advice: don’t try to “fix” aging lamps by cranking up the wattage. That’s a fast track to scorching your PET. Also, keep an eye on your cooling fans. When you’re pushing this much heat, those fans have to be spotless, or the ambient temperature will just climb until something breaks. Tougher glass, less stress Standard tubes have a habit of getting brittle. They usually crack right at the pinch seal, and then you’re stuck cleaning up glass and restarting the line. We changed the quartz composition to make the envelope stronger. We also tuned the internal halogen cycle to keep the tungsten filament dead center. No “sag,” no premature failure. Just a lamp that stays where it belongs. Swap them and get back to work You don’t need to rewire your racks or mess with your controllers. These are direct replacements.
