Instead of just warming up the air, we’ve tweaked the infrared spectrum to go after the real enemy: the moisture hiding in your walls. How it actually works
Here’s the thing. Standard heaters just push warm air around. Our lamps use short-wave infrared (SWIR) to actually penetrate the surface. Imagine the energy vibrating the water molecules trapped in your paint and grout, shaking them loose so they evaporate faster. By driving that moisture out of the walls, you’re basically starving the mold. No dampness, no mold. Simple as that.
The gear inside
To make this happen, we use high-purity quartz. Why? Because bathrooms are brutal. You’ve got steam, cold splashes, and crazy temperature swings. Regular glass would just crack. We’ve tuned the filaments to hit a very specific wavelength (between 0.76 and 1.5 microns). This is the “sweet spot” that lets the heat sink deep into the tile and grout rather than just skimming the surface. **One heads-up, though.**These lamps get seriously hot. You can’t just cram them into a tight space. Give them some breathing room, or you might end up scorching your ceiling.
Getting it installed and keeping it fresh
We kept the connectors standard (R7s or SK15), so if you’re a contractor, these just drop right into most commercial fixtures. No headache, no weird wiring. And for the homeowners? Just give the quartz tube a quick wipe every six months. Dust and soap scum build up over time, and that film acts like a shield, blocking the infrared rays. Keep the glass clean, and the mold-fighting magic keeps working.
